Adoption Policy
All potential adoptees are screened as I want only the best of homes for my joeys. If you are interested in adopting one of my joeys please fill out my adoption questionnaire.
Please know that I have the right to decide if you are the best home for my joey and oftens times I will have additional questions, my want to talk to you in person or may ask for a reference.
I will not adopt single joeys out unless they are going to be paired with another glider as sugar gliders are colony animals. I often do offer discounts to families who adopt pairs of gliders.
I do not hold joeys for anyone so if you are interested you will have to pay a deposit which is deducted from total owed and may or may not be returned to you should you change your mind. However, if for any reason I decide that you are not the best home for my joey I will return your deposit. I require a 25% deposit to hold your joey.
I do offer payment plans but joeys must be paid before they leave.
Shipping is available via United Pet Safe for $150. We can ship to Canada via United at your expense. I live 3 hours away from the Chicago O'Hare Airport and 5 hours from Minneapolis and often travel to meet people in the state of WI for a small gas fee.
All joeys stay with their parents until they are at least 8 weeks old and eating a regular diet. Sometimes depending on the joey I will extend this time to give them more time with mommy. I do keep joeys who are going to be shipped a few weeks longer and males that will be neutered before leaving.
All joeys are weaned to the original HPW diet with added green juice (GOHPW).
